Victoria and Albert Museum working installation

We love sharing knowledge and so regularly run masterclass workshops exploring how to create colour using natural dyes along with associated textile surface techniques.

As part of London Design Festival, we created a working installation at the Victoria and Albert Museum on September 20th 2013.  The installation, touche de rouge,  provided an opportunity for us to showcase our practice through a series of demonstrations.  Emma shared her craft of hand marbling. Penny also demonstrated her skill dyeing with indigo.  The process of dyeing with indigo is based on fermentation and oxygenation and differs from other natural dyes. The event at the V&A provided yet another opportunity for Penny to demonstrate the magic of an indigo vat.
