Focus18 at Chelsea Harbour

During London Design week September 2018 we demonstrated natural dyeing using buckthorn berries to create a vibrant yellow on cotton, linen, wool, and silk yarns.  All fibres used by our partners, Gainsborough to create their amazing fabrics.

The images show some of the vibrant colours that can be achieved with natural plant dye. The benefits are that they are non-toxic, have good colour fastness and are compostable at the end of their life. The colour also adheres to a circular business model, one that ao textiles is developing in conjunction with Gainsborough.
