Red Carpet Green Dress™

“RCGD Global is a women-led global change-making organisation bringing environmental and social sustainability to the forefront of conversation and action within the global apparel and design industry.”

Suzy Amis Cameron started the RCGD fashion initiative to draw attention to the importance of more sustainable practices in fashion.

Over the space of three years we have been proud to work with Red Carpet Green Dress creating colour from natural dyes for the fabrics for Oscar dresses.

The first was in 2012 designed by Michael Badger for Naomie Harris. For this colour we created a subtle yellow using the dye plant golden rod.

Olga Kurylenko became the second actress to wear a dress dyed by ao textiles. Her dress, designed by Alice Elia, used madder root to create the rich red colour.

And finally in 2015, actress Gina Rodriguez wore a naturally dyed indigo silk dress created for her by Manon Gabard.
